Representatives from American Furniture Warehouse (AFW) received recognition and a plaque at the Dec. 15 Board of Education meeting for a recent contribution of $3,627 to Lewis-Palmer School District 38.
Over the life of the long-standing partnership, AFW has donated more than $21,000 to D38 by setting aside a percentage, typically two to four percent, of the furniture giant’s sales when a customer mentions D38.
“Our next donation is already more than $1,000. We appreciate your community and we simply want to reciprocate your support back to you,” said Tim Tesone, AFW education and community relations specialist.
Tesone acknowledged the work of his colleagues, including his counterpart Eric Vigil in Colorado Springs, for helping to make the annual donation a reality.
Board of Education Vice President Theresa Phillips thanked AFW prior to giving Tesone a plaque, calling the company a valuable D38 partner.
